From May 23rd to 28th, 2016, the city of Genoa hosted “Genova Smart Week“, a week of  conferences, European project meetings, expo and networking events. National and international players attended the event in order to share their views about innovations for the development of a livable city.

The Mayors in Action project prganised thw 3rd Centralized Training Session for C&S as organised on 10-11 March 2016 - Zagreb, Croatia.

Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar organised tihe finala conference gof PRO-E-BIKE project ni Zagreb, on 17th February 2016. The conference was organized on a goal to present to companies, cities, public institutions etc., project results and to inspire the companies to take necessary steps towards inclusion of e-bike delivery and services in their business, and cities to support this logistic concept in terms of policies and strategies.

The Ele.C.Tra project participated in the 2nd PRO‐E-BIKE Workshop, on 22nd April 2015. 

During the press conference held on September 22nd in the State Room of Palazzo Tursi in front of 35 guests and local journalists to present the program of the Genoa Researcher's Night of September 25th, Alderman Carla Sibilla has highlighted the importance of the Ele.C.Tra. Project, among the other projects managed by the Municipality of Genoa, toward a solution of Genoa’s mobility problems, and also in the reduction of CO2 emissions, as of European targets.

The regional event entitled „Successful EU projects: Simple and easily applicable measures for a sustainable future“ was held on December 11, 2015 at the Zagreb City Tribina. The seminar was held as part of the project Ele.C.Tra, which is co-financed by the IEE program and implemented by the City of Zagreb City Office for energy, environment and sustainable development, as partner. The seminar was attended by the representatives of the cities Bjelovar, Sisak, Ivanicgrad, Velika Gorica and Varazdin.

The Ele.C.Tra. closing Conference, entitled "ELE.C.TRA FINAL COn.FREE.NCE: to “e” or not to “e” that is the question of (e)mobility" was successfully realized on November 25th, in Lisbon, Portugal.

The final meeting of the project's consortium will be realized on November 26th - 27th, at the city of Lisboa, Portugal.

The European Researchers’ Night Event which took place in Liguria on September 25th was a great success. The event, promoted by the European Commission, each year involves thousands of researchers and research institutions across Europe to spread popular science and allow the general public to discover science while having fun through dozens of events and shows.

The 5^th Project Meeting and non-pilot training visit of the Ele.C.Tra project was successfully realized on September 24 ^th  - 25^th, 2015, at the Palazzo Tursi Albini, in the city of Genoa.

On May 12^th City of Firenze and the stakeholders of Ele.C.Tra project met the mobility managers of Florentine area. A catalogue with a description of all stakeholders and their products was presented during the event.

During the days 16-22, September 2014, the celebration of the EMW (European Mobility week)took place in Murcia. It was a relevant event that attracted a lot of citizens. The goal was to get people together to enjoy sustainable mobility and turn the streets more friendly to pedestrians and cyclists.

Murcia participated in the 1st forum of cities that promote electromobility.

The Municipality of Murcia participated in the First Forum of cities that foster the electromobility held in Madrid at the headquarters of the IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy). Murcia took part in this important meeting as a member of RECI, Spanish Network of Smart Cities, in which Murcia leads the Energy Working Group.

For the last six years spring in Zagreb has come to stand for „The Zagreb Energy Week“. This year, the Zagreb Energy week was held under the message „Development we don't want to stop, but pollution we can! “ between May 11th -16th, 2015.

Τhe 1^st Electric Vehicle Exhibition was completed with great success on June 19^th, 2015, in Karamanlis Park, in Rafina, East Attica. The Port Authority of Rafina S.A. (rafinaport.gr), the Greek Institute of Electric Vehicles (ELINIO, heliev.gr) and AVMAp GIS S.A. (avmap.gr), with scientific coordinator Prof. A. Vassilopoulos, were responsible for the implementation of the whole exhibition.

Η έκθεση και η δοκιμή των οχημάτων θα γίνουν στον πλακόστρωτο ανοικτό χώρο του Πάρκου Καραμανλή, στη Ραφήνα, την Παρασκευή 19 Ιουνίου 2015 και ώρα 17:30-21:00.

At the Festival of Europe the pilot project that involves the cities of Florence, Genoa and Barcelona organized the Electric scooters in Florence Tour from Cascine Park to Largo Annigoni with the "new" scooters of  project Ele.C.Tra!

The City of Skopje and Ele.C.Tra project was promoted within an Article regarding the 'Electromobility in the Balkans', in the Italian Quattroruote Magazine (May 2015).

What is Smau?

Smau is the principal event dedicated to the innovation in Enterprises and Public Administrations, Information & Communications Technology. The first edition took place in 1962.

Every year the City of Zagreb, under the auspices of the Mayor Milan Bandic and by way of the City Office for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development and in cooperation with numerous partners, organizes the Zagreb Energy Week. The event is now held for six years in a row, under the message „Development we don't want to stop, but pollution we can!“, and this, the 6. Zagreb Energy Week shall be held from May 11th to May 16th, 2015.

The “Innovative Mobility” event took place in Genoa from 13th to 15th of March. It has been a great success that brought to the city the “green” transport.

It was organized by Radio Babboleo in collaboration with the Genoa Municipality and Porto Antico di Genova within the european project Ele.C.TRA, that is dedicated to the sustainable transport and mobility.

Electric mobility is becoming an increasingly important role in the field of urban mobility, thanks to the pollution and the rising cost of fossil fuels.

BCNecologia, the Urban Ecology Agency of Barcelona, partner of the European project Ele.C.Tra, organized on 29 September, as part of the celebration of the Sustainable Mobility Week, the conference "Projecte Ele.C.Tra: mobilitat electrica, mobilitat mes sostenible" ("Ele.C.Tra project: electric mobility, a more sustainable mobility") with the aim of promoting the development of new alternative transport systems in urban environments and analize the role of electromobility in Barcelona in the context of the sustainable mobility policies being developed in the city??.

Our streets, our choice: Ele.C.Tra in the European Mobility Week in Zagreb

The City of Zagreb is organizing a series of activities within the European Mobility Week, which is an event celebrated every year from 16th to 22nd September. The aim of the Mobility Week is to raise public awareness about the pollution being caused by the increase of the motorized traffic in urban areas, and thus improvement of  the life quality for citizens of European cities.

On Thursday July 17th and within a very positive environment, dozens of representatives of local and national bodies accepted a cooperation invitation that was sent to them by Professor Andreas Vassilopoulos, the scientific coordinator of the European program Ele.C.Tra. in our country.
Mr. Vassilopoulos, as he declared, chose Eastern Attica in order to implement the program, because there is no municipal transportation, there are a lot of parking problems during the summer months, while this specific region can be assisted in an economical way by the tourism that is expected from the port of Rafina and the airport.

The Ele.C.Tra project offers a significant support to the local community in order it to be able to obtain electric scooters and cars, such as in many other European cities. Electro mobility is a one-way choice, since it causes no emissions or noise, and it belongs to the green transportations that are expected to be granted. At the same time, for both residents and tourists, it constitutes the cheapest way of transportation with a cost of 10 times less than that of conventional fuel.
