City of Florence and electric mobility

Electric mobility is becoming an increasingly important role in the field of urban mobility, thanks to the pollution and the rising cost of fossil fuels.

The City of Florence, with over 100 charging stations throughout the territory and 1.700 electric vehicles in circulation, has gained a significant history and experience in the Italian avant-garde.

Today, with the choice that the Administration has made buying 53 electric Twizy for fleet renewal business and with the realization of the interoperable network for charging electric vehicles that will start in the coming months, Florence is an example of reference for the development concrete and structured sustainable mobility with zero emissions.

In this context, our membership in the Electra is for the City Council an excellent opportunity to involve all stakeholders to electric mobility in the area, such as public and private entities, subject electricity suppliers, manufacturers and sellers scooters and electric quadricycles, so as to ensure, through the cooperation of all, the spread of an awareness and a culture of the use of sustainable mobility.
