Τhe 1st Electric Vehicle Exhibition was completed with great success on June 19th, 2015, in Karamanlis Park, in Rafina, East Attica. The Port Authority of Rafina S.A. (rafinaport.gr), the Greek Institute of Electric Vehicles (ELINIO, heliev.gr) and AVMAp GIS S.A. (avmap.gr), with scientific coordinator Prof. A. Vassilopoulos, were responsible for the implementation of the whole exhibition.
The exhibition was characterized as one of the most successful of its kind since it hosted dozens of electric vehicles, scooters and bicycles and more than 1,200 visitors, mainly from the municipalities of East Attica.
The main aim of the event was to highlight the prospects of electromobility in Greece, to strengthen networking actions and exchange of ideas between private stakeholders (representatives of electric vehicles and charging points companies) and public sector (local authorities, associations of electromobility and environmental bodies) and to inform people about the new technology.
Apart from the visitors, representatives of local authorities and public bodies, Regional Councilors, Mayors and Deputy Mayors of East Attica, Chairmen of the Municipal Assembliesand also representatives of Ele.C.Tra partners form Municipalities of Florence and Skopje, EXACTO and T Bridge were also participated in the event.
The participants had the ability to test drive and be informed about the electric vehicles of BMW, eleGreco and EKKA CARS and the electric bikes of KTM and simultaneously to test ride the electric bicycles of ELECTRICREV BY HELMA, bike me up and EASYRIDE. Also the Center for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) informed the participants and gave them the ability to test and use an Eco-Driving simulator which focuses on ecological, economic and safe driving, and the companies of FORTISIS and MOVIVA presented charging points for electric vehicles.
