In order to support the effective implementation of the measures for the introduction of electromobility, the City of Skopje and the PE “City Parking – Skopje” officially put in operation the first e-charging station in Skopje.

Skopje is now prepared to greet the first electric vehicles in Macedonia: the first e-charging station has already been installed and it is available for public use in the multi-storey parking garage “Makedonska Falanga” in the city center. The e-charging station is designed for all types of electric vehicles - cars, scooters, bicycles. It has two connectors with power of 22 kW, which means that at the same time it is able to serve two e-vehicles. The charging time depends on the battery capacity, but generally is around 30 minutes. The parking during charging in multi-storey garage "Makedonska Falanga" is free for every owner of electric vehicles. This station is the first of its kind in Macedonia, currently the PE “City Parking” has purchased two stations for charging electric vehicles for the amount of 20,000€ (10,000€ each). The city announced that will continue to support the process of setting these e-charging stations and in the near future will be purchased an electric vehicle for the administration of the City of Skopje.

Within the promotional event regarding the launch of the first station for charging electric vehicles in Skopje, ProCredit Bank AD Skopje launched their 5 new e-vehicles (Volkswagen e-up) purchased for use in their everyday working.

The Mayor of the City of Skopje, Mr. Koce Trajanovski, awarded Certificate of gratitude for special contribution to the development and promotion of electromobility in Skopje to ProCredit Bank AD Skopje being the first company in Macedonia that has purchased 5 e-vehicles for use in daily operations and for the two innovators  Mr. Vancho Zrncev (individual innovative conversion of conventional vehicle Matis into electric) and Mr. Sasho Jovanovski (individual innovative conversion of conventional vehicle Cinquecento into electric).
