RECI’s Mobility working group virtual meetings

As part of the planned activities within the RECI network (Spanish network of Smart Cities), a number virtual meetings are held during the year to maintain contact among the RECI members, share knowledge and grow at a similar pace.

The Municipality of Murcia, represented by ALEM, the Local Energy Agency and Climate Change of Murcia plays a relevant role in the working meetings of RECI, this way, Murcia moderates the meetings in the energy working group as leader of the group, and has an active role on the mobility ones.

Once every two months virtual meetings in the mobility group are held. With the format of videoconference, every meeting involved between 10 and 20 cities, with a total duration of hours approx. a detailed agenda is followed in order to give the cities to share or request whatever they think suitable for the interests of the group.

The Municipality of Murcia has made use of its presence in the mobility group to explain int participation in the EU funded project Ele.C.Tra as it is an interesting project to boost electromobility in urban areas through the development of innovative sharing system for e-scooters.
