Last 3rd and 4th March, 2015, the “Roadmaps for energy (R4E)” project kick off meeting took place in Eindhoven .

This project focuses on developing vision creation and roadmapping capacities within municipalities to initiate joint activities to spur development and implementation of innovative energy solutions in cities.

The project coordinator is the city of Eindhoven (NL), while Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), more specifically the TU/e LightHouse, experienced in developing Visions & Roadmaps for municipalities, has a major role in the process of R4E, supporting and guiding each partner city through the entire process.

This project will focus its efforts in planning and rolling out realistic and affordable actions towards creating innovative energy policies within the fields of smart buildings, smart mobility and smart urban spaces.

During the kick off meeting, every partner had the opportunity to explain in detail its background in the three focus areas mentioned. Murcia shared with the consortium its experience with the Ele.C.Tra project, an ongoing EU project that aims to foster the use of electric scooters in urban areas through the implementation of innovative systems for sharing and selling.

As part of the objectives of the Ele.C.Tra project, new working links were created within the R4E project consortium partners in order to extend the outreach of the e-scooter promotion.
