SmartCEM Barcelona Launch Conference

The Barcelona City Council and RACC organized the SmartCEM Launching Conference and the presentation of MOTIT, the first electric moto-sharing service created in Barcelona, on 2 April 2014.

During the Conference, BCNEcologia introduced Ele.C.Tra. (Electric City Transport) project and it demonstrated the role of ICT solutions to overcome the limitations of electro mobility for cities and citizens.

The SmartCEM Barcelona Launch event was about:

  • Increasing the visibility of the so called MOTIT e-scooter sharing service, an innovative service that demonstrates the range of services developed within the SmartCEM platform (www.smartcem-project.eu).
  • Travellers being able to try this new service.
  • Increasing local stakeholders’ awareness and interest in the SmartCEM pilots.

The local citizens and stakeholders who attended the event, were able to learn what the project has achieved so far, and they also had the opportunity to test ride the MOTIT e-scooter service.
