APRE, the Agency for the Promotion of European Research, is a non-profit research organization in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). The Agency has provided its members as well as businesses, government agencies, and private individuals, information, support and assistance for participation in national and European programmes and collaborative initiatives in the field of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) and in the transfer of research results.

On November 11th, 2014, representatives from the city of Firenze met with experts of APRE. During the meeting, the EleCTra project was presented and  a discussion on European projects took place as well.
